Q: What did a day in your life look like before you arrived at Horseshoe Mountain Academy? A: Lots of screaming, yelling, fighting explosions, alcohol sometimes weed ___ etc, dis-content, self conscious, ___ Q: What were your goals in life? A: I didn’t have any but now I want to help others the way I’ve been helped. Q: What was your relationship like with your parents/family? A: Horrible, no communication.
Q: What were you thinking when you were taken to Horseshoe Mountain Academy? A: I was thinking it was going to be hard core cause I got kicked out of my last program. Q: How long did it take before you realized that you were getting help to get your life turned around? A: The second I talked to Benji and Victoria I knew my life would be changed forever. Q: Share some of the stages you went through. A: Aggression, positivity, kindness, love, acceptance, changing and then beautiful inside and out. Q: What are your goals now? A: Help change lives and be kind to those in need. Q: What is your relationship with your parents/family now? A: So close and amazing. Q: If you cold give any advice to a family that is struggling with their daughter, what would that be? A: You should never give up. Don’t give up on your kids because your child needs you even if they don’t realize it yet. It took me a year to turn myself around but all I needed from my family was knowing that I truly was loved and that they would never give up even when I used and abused them. Ameena H.
